We just moved to Silverstrand and have been told by PCCW and icable that they cannot provide landline, cable, or tv services (-- except icable can provide satellite cable tv). Something to do with not enough cable to set up a new residence. Not sure what the issue is as the neighbours in our complex all have PCCW and previous residents used to have icable apparently. What is everyone doing for their cable and internet services here? Please help!

Um... I thinking talking to your neighbours and the telecom operators trying to get a good deal and the information on internet / network receptions.

HK is supposed to be the most connected place in the World when it comes to internet but it is connected to s**t. Worst internet and cable companies I have ever witnessed anywhere. Horrible customer service and lousy product. I have had issues with PCCW and HGC and that is being kind. I currently have iCable for Cable TV and so far so good. The best for wifi is HKBN (Hong Kong Broadband Network). You may not be able to hook-up because I have heard some internet companies block out the competitors when they install their service, so even after the contract expires you cannot hook-up. Go for HKBN for wifi if possible.
