Active Family

We are moving to HK this summer from the US. We are an extremely active family. We hike, bike, ski and play all sorts of sports. My kids are always playing outside tossing, kicking and catching some sort of ball. We live in a suburb today and have access to lots of parks and open space in our neirborhood. I am concerned about moving to HK island and city living and was looking at Sai Kung as an alternative. However I am also concerned about being isolated as an expat and not close to other needed amenities. Any advice?

Thank for the information.

If we do want to stay on Hong Kong island are their places for the kids to throw, kick and bat the ball- parks that are available for a quick pick up game of baseball or whatever?

There is nowhere that I can think of, except maybe the Hong Kong Cricket Club - if you join there your kids can have a run around on the oval from time to time. I doubt they could play a game of baseball, although they could probably have a throw around.

So can you recommend some specific properties in Sai Kung or the other towns you mentioned( group complex that may have nice ammenities and expats community) that we should look at when we visit. I am taking an exploratory trip in May. Our budget is generous so I don't think that will be an issue in Sai kung area

I am not sure exactly but assume around 150,000- 160,000 HKD for starters
