Hi,
My sister is setting up a small clothing line to sell in Australia. Her clothes are being manufactured in Shenzhen and she is heading over shortly to collect the first 20 (identical) samples. When she comes back through the border from Shenzhen into HK
the customs website is a little unclear on the following - will she be allowed to bring through such a large volume of identical items. They can't be brought in as 'personal items' (obviously, who needs 20 of the same thing)... She is intending to declare them as commercial goods and pay the taxes of course but she is just worried that they may actually not allow her to bring through so many pieces. Does anyone know of restrictions like this on commercial goods? She is trying to get in touch with customs but no luck as yet.
It's proving difficult to find an answer on line so I thought I'd reach out to this community. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!
