Evening gown in HK?

I'm looking for an evening gown for a ball that is coming up in a couple weeks. I'm new to Hong Kong and I'm not sure where to look for one! I'm on a bit of a tight budget so if anyone knows of a place that is reasonable, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

How tight a budget?


There are some shops on Wellington Street, particularly the Western end, that sell gowns.

There is also a place on Stanley Market, which has chiffon/beaded evening gowns, and they will shorten and do slight alterations for a perfect fit.

Pedder Building, Central, 4th floor ... lots of dresses, but you'll have to search to find the right one, and you'll easily get something for under $1000.

fa yuen street, one shop has lots of gowns and evening wear. On the left side if you are going down the street. I did not check the price for gowns, but for a cocktail/evening (knee length) cost $280-$480.

Peddar Building, Top Floor 6th or 7th. Right out of the lift. Sparkles the name, I think. But you can't miss it.
