Drastic change in hairstyle

Hey Gals,

I'm seriously thinking of drastically changing my hairstyle. I've got long, wavy, frizzy hair that's starting to bug me. I'm thinking of getting a short, shaggy, layered cut. Have any of you gone from long hair to a pixie-cut or something or taken drastic measures? How did you know if you were going to suit it? Did you get advice from your hairdresser? I'm sick of my hair and need a change. I need a cut that doesn't need much work (because I'm pretty hopeless with styling my hair and I wear in mostly in a pony tail under a cap). I straighten my hair a lot, but a shaggy cut wouldn't need that, but then I'm scared of the frizz! Aaaarrrggghhh!! lol

Hi, Devon, reading your post put a smile on my face. My hairstyle since my teen years was just the plain long, part on the side kind of look, I have naturally dark brown hair and i sported this hairstyle for like 20 years (God!! how I never got bored of it, i don't know), then one day, one of my friends hold up my hairs and told me to cut it off, make it short and he promised me i'll look good. It does keep me thinking for one week, and finally, me thinking, it is only hair, if it doesn't look good, it still is only for a few months, so I did, i cut the long hair off, my hairdresser did a very good job and I received a lot of praise from friends and colleagues... so I say, give it a try, you never know if you do not try it.

since then, from time to time, I will try different hairstyles, different colours, some with good results and some end up disaster, it is ok with me as like I said, it is only for a few months... you just need to be prepare that the result may not be your expectation. It also depends on the person, some ladies have to look glamorous everyday (as in Kim Kardasian), some like me can be casual and laugh the disaster off
