personal chef

Not to derail this but some helpers (including ours) are excellent cooks so that would probably be the easiest way to get an "almost personal chef". We don't tell her what to cook (it's nice to be pleasantly surprised every day) but she knows what we like and comes up with a good mix of old favorites and new dishes in line with our dietary wishes. Come to think of it she could probably get a job as a personal chef despite her lack of formal training.

And no, you can't have her. ;)

you are right. the DHs haven't spoiled the personal chef market! my work colleague has a part time DH who comes to clean his house everyday / alternate days (?) dunno. anyway, the first time she came, she came over with a menu!!! so now he basically just picks something he wants for dinner that day and it is prepared for him when he gets home. and i'm sure it's at a fraction of the cost of a personal chef. and just as good. :)

I sent my DH to some cooking classes, and she ended up producing quality cuisine.
