I rent a squatter property in a HK village. My employer gives me 28,000 HKD per month for rent. In order for this money to not count as income I need to show proof of rental price. My landlord doesn't want the contract stamped by IRD nor will issue any receipts since technically he is not supposed to be renting it out to anyone (he purchased it from the HK Gov roughly 20-30 years ago, he claims).
Right now, he is saying that he will discontinue our "contract" if I pursue filing rental through the proper channels so he doesn't get in trouble. My employer, in order to exercise "proper control" is asking for the rental receipts, and I just want to not have to pay the rental price as part of my taxable income.
One of the options my landlord has offered is to draw up a rental contract for one of his legal residences for the same price, while I continue to live in the village house. Are there legal implications here? What is my best course of action, assuming leaving my village house is my least desirable choice?
Thanks for the advice.

I'm not a lawyer but you would, in effect, be defrauding your employer by providing false rental receipts. I'm sure this is illegal and that your company would take a dim view. Why risk a criminal record and losing your job. Get a proper landlord and place to live.
