Hi, I was considering moving to Tung Chung in a couple of months. I have two young daughters aged 3 years and 1.4 years.
How is the area to live in? Are there activities for children to do without having to travel too far? Like workshops they can attend, dance or music classes etc?
How convenient/ inconvenient is the place? What are the pros and cons of living there?
Also any suggestions on good pre-schooling for my daughters will be really appreciated.
Thanks guys for taking out the time to read this!!!
Cheers,
Smita

www.justjuniors.com operate playgroup from the Coastal Skyline clubhouse, drama bugs for the older children and I teach Music Together in the Coastal Skyline clubhouse on Thursday afternoons. So there are some activities for you to look at in the heart of Tung Chung!

@Ken - actually thats untrue.
the recent studies of API from SCMP note that Tung Chung is comparable to Saikung in terms of API. Let me find the article

There Art Century at CC is not bad. And TC Dragons has soccer classes. There's also the afterschool classes (in English) at the various kindergartens around TC e.g. Ballet, Taekwondo etc at Greenfield.

@notaeuro - lol the original one was in the newspaper. Just save it to your computer and zoom in.
but yea, no problem on searching for it. Maybe its better you not move to DB and TC. Better stay in taipo and sai kung......

well how is TC as a place to live? I was thinking of a shift to DB but fear it is a bit too quiet/gweilo/isolated/empty.
is TC better then? The rumor used to be that the air was actually pretty toxic due to the airport, and the horrid disneyland doesnt help either i guess.

Well living in TC a gueilo with no kids :O)) but seriously I would prefer DB if I would have kids because of the variousity of activities nice enviroment a lot of shops restaurants..TC is noisy due to airplanes, the Taste supermarket is the most expensive one in HK in my opinion overcrowded, long ques on the cashier so is the shopping mall because a lot of people passing from the MTR to their estates and a lot of tourists..not so many restaurants or home deliveries..otherwise nice community and residents new development nice to take a walk outside..
