Does anyone have any info on donor insemination at Union Hospital in Sha Tin? They import sperm from the USA.

Hi
Not sure if you are married. If you are, it should be no problem. Suggest you call the hotel direct.
However, if you are not, it is in fact illegal to import the material to HK and have someone perform the procedure for you. Hope the info helps

Hi,
What do you mean by "hotel" and can you elaborate on the illegality? How could I find out more about this?

Sorry, it's a typo. I meant hospital (Union Hospital). Here's their website:

Thanks. But why do you say this is illegal?

If you are married, the hospitals in HK should be able to help and it should be legal. Pls check with the hospitals (Union, Sanatorium)directly.
I am not married and have actually done an awful lot of research on this. Ultimately got an email from the govt saying that it's a breach of code of conduct for any medical practitoner in HK to perform ICI/ IUI/ IVF to an UNMARRIED person. So it means even if I could get the sperm into HK, no one can legally help me to inseminate. I have also explored other countries like Australia, UK and US. The only place that is able to provide the one-stop-shop service is California, US.
