My Dr doesn't have 3/4D Scanning equiptment at his office therefore does anyone know where I can get one of these done in HK? Will Drs take you for a one off scan?
I am 23 weeks pregnant at the moment.
Thank you for your help.

If I remember correctly, Dr. Macor Wan in St. George's building has one. I think he will do a one off scan.
Dr Christine Choy at Care for Women also has one. Not sure if she does one offs but worth a try. Normally scan is $800 and consulation $700

Thank you both very much!!!! I will check both Drs. Thanks.
Also check out Dr. Bernard Wong in Jordan. He has the latest gadgets. His office is in Champion Building, right next to Jordan MTR station Exit A.

We have had a 'regular' scan every visit, and opted for 2 4D scans - one at 6 months, one at 9 months. We really enjoyed the results and our parents and family had never seen these before, so it was exciting for them.
Our insurance, Allianz, covered the expense.
Dr Wan and Dr Lam (Dr Lam is our regular doctor anyway)

Good luck if you decide to have one - my husband and I think it is really fun!
Hi, I wonder whether you still need the scan. I am currently 20 weeks' pregnant and had an amniocentesis done by Dr. Cora Ngai. She has a bueatiful ultrasound machine and I can see the baby at the big plasma TV at the same time!! Dr. Ngai also did a 4D scan for me without additional charges. It's really a wonderful experience for a first time mum. I would say this is certainly worth for money, even if I have to pay for it. Her office is at the TakShing House and her no. is 25259213. Cheers.

Hi,i am going to do a 4D scan with Dr Lam at 22wks. Is it too early? Will i be able to see the baby's face clearly at that time?
Or I should wait til 23 or 24 wks? Please kindly advise. Thank you.

The later the better photo. Ask Dr Lam when he recommends is best - I can't remember when we had ours for the first, but I am just 7 months now and we haven't had it yet for the second. We had two or three and the later were definately better images.

Hi Cri, i am actually seeing Dr Ho for check-ups. But will go for a 4D scan with Dr Lam, cos heard he is a very good reader. I think his nurse says 24wk onwards. But i don't want to have my appointments with both doctors too close.
Cara, thanks. It would be great if you could send me the pictures. I will email you later. thanks.
cheers

many thanks for the pictures. They are lovely!!! I think i should postpone my appointment to about 28wks. Seems like most 4D pictures before then are not so clear. But after then are very amazing! Thanks alot again.
Hi there,
I went to Dr Lam (St Georges Building) at 20 weeks for the diagnostic scan (make sure all was well) and he switched the screen to 3D. I could see the baby but it wasn't so clear. He recommended a 3D scan (pursely to have a look at the baby) at 30 weeks.
Hope that helps!
I had a 4D scan with Dr Derek Lo at 12 weeks which was a real surprise as I didn't expect to be able to see anything. We could see the baby moving around and you could see its hands, feet and ears which was quite amazing if you haven't seen it before. We also got a DVD of it.
