Can anyone help? I am so confused by all the maternity packages out there! I am 10 weeks pregnant and have decided to have my 1st baby at Canossa.
I don't know whether to
1) take their maternity package at $28,000 (their doctors are Dr Amelia Wong, Dr Wilfred Wong or Catherine Yeung)
2) continue to use my own OBY - Dr Christine Choy (who is lovely, but I think will turn out to be too expensive!)or
3) try Dr Ho, who I have yet to meet.

Ho's been very good for us and friends.
If you are considering breastfeeding, know that Canossa is not known to be the best place for it. There are some other things (like rooming in, etc.) to consider. Talk to the hospital to find out what they allow and what they don't; unless you already know and your decision is made. Then, yes, Canossa with Ho. Is Choy that much more expensive? Rhetorical question.

RiceT, do you know which hospital/clinic encourages breastfeeding? I breastfed my first child up until 9 months and absolutely loved it, also helped me HUGELY loosing all the pregnancy weight!!
I just had a pregnancy test with positive result this morning - hurray!! But I am new in HK so need to collect all these info...

Congrats mmpishere!!! I had my baby at Adventist and they were very helpful with my breastfeeding. Very informative and encouraging (milk was slow coming in). Good luck!
