Canossa - Good for baby delivery?

Hi - I've heard much about Matilda and Adventist for baby delivery, but has anyone experience with Canossa that they can talk about? Good place/good staff? Thanks.

RiceT, we had our delivery at Canossa. It is a very good experience overall. I was with my wife throughout and the staff and room are very satisfactory. Also the price is good. If you would like to know more about our experience , send me an email and we can get connected.

My sister had an emergency C-section in Canossa early this year. She was praising the staff and service... and still using their Baby Clinic. I visited her a couple of times and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Canossa is definitely cheaper than Matilda and Adventist. I think you should go there for a maternity tour to check out their rooms to make sure your like the place first.

I had my baby at Canossa and fully recommend it. Don't know what your budget is, but don't recommend a 3-person room - too noisy. I'm still with them, as I joined their baby clinic. The nurses are wonderful and treat every baby like they're the most gorgeous baby in the world!

Thanks all. We'll go visit. We're pretty close to Canossa (so is the doc) but just hadn't heard much about it. Heard that some people probably don't like it because they bathe your baby for you? and that the baby goes to a nursery (if you don't have a private room)? Don't know. Heard that from one of the docs; can't confirm.

I am moving to HK from Australia mid July and am due to give birth to my 1st baby in HK in September. I wanted to go public (only b/c of $$) but my Dependents Visa and HK ID Card will not be processed by the time I have the baby so I have to go private. I found the Canossa website so informative yesterday and I called and made an appt to see a doctor for when I arrive in HK - I feel a little relieved that I've finally chosen a hospital. I'm glad some of you replied with positive experiences esp. that Philip said he was with his wife throughout - I would love my husband to be involved as much as possible.
