Hi my friends,
I am just wondering how much does it cost to go through all the prenatal check-ups, labs, consultation, and finally deliver the baby in the hospital in Hong Kong? The insurance covers about HKD18,000, would that be enough? I would appreciate if anyone has past experience or is doing some research could give me some insight. Many thanks!

It depends very much on how you want to proceed: completely private, completely public, or a mix of both. The major hospitals here all have packages which you can look at for an idea of service level and price. The major O&G specialists have arrangements with several hospitals for their services, and you can see their packages at consultation.
Prices range from almost free (public hospital - my wife delivered via CS and we paid $350 for a 2-3 days stay) to $100,000 for a fully private, un-insured, multiple problem and unforseen CS delivery. Expect around $30,000 for a standard package.
