Hi
I wondered how much the Utrogestan supplement (Progesterone) will effect the bloodtest?
We had only one insemination last week with a extremely low motility rate. Chances are very low but last time my Progesterone was 23 after testing (not on Utrogestan) but now I started with Utrogestan right after the IUI and its 35.
Wonder if that is all because of the supplement.
Secondly I have no problems at all. I feel great, no side-effect so far from all the injection prior to the IUI. Wonder it that will still come. Only a little bit 'bigger' at the moment...
Appreciate your feedback. Don't want to have too much hope but if this does not work the doctor suggested to start thinking about IVF...
Thanks

Hi Flower
Yes, the progestrone increses because of the tablets. Increased level of Prog doesn't indiacted that you are pregnant or not. As per the Dr. only side effects of injections are, you gain weight and 95% women came to normal weight in 1-3 months. If you are on progt supplement, you will also feel heavey ness and pain in your brest, which is also one of the pregnancy symptom. I did three IUI with every thing normal but still failed and one of my freind got pregnant in first time with very low level of sperms. Good luck for you and lots of baby dust for you

Thanks Tillu,
The planning is to do THE TEST tomorrow but I think I wait till Monday and see. I think I felt the normal standard underbelly cramps yesterday which indicates we did not succeed. Just rather save the money for another blood test and secondly no need to go all the way to the clinic before 9.30... Could always buy a test myself and see what it says..
That means most likely IFV :-( But in one way glad because at least we know what the issue is.. Just a matter of spending the money i guess
