I use Prenatal Yoga with Shiva Rea, and I really enjoy it. She gives you options to use during each of your trimesters to keep it safe and comfortable. I know you can get it on Amazon, but you might try HMV as well. I think I may have seen it for sale at Pure Yoga - I'll have a look for you tomorrow. By the way, if you can make lunchtime classes, the new prenatal yoga teacher at Pure on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes is excellent (no affiliations - I just enjoy her class!)
LOVE - Prenatal Yoga with Shiva Rea. (good recommendation Miffy.) Used it with both pregnancies and loved it. Many people like the Rocki's Prenatal - but I only found it mediocre - didn't like the "feel" of the video. Not soothing and calming at all. Shiva Rea's has a nice ambience - makes you relax. Her postnatal yoga is also just as good.
I am interested in finding a pregnancy yoga DVD too. Thanks for the above thoughts - I have called Pure Yoga in Centrium this afternoon and asked about the Shiva Rea DVD but no luck (miffy - let us know if you have better luck asking in person). I am hoping to head to HMV this afternoon and will let you know if I find one there.
Ok - been to the HMV through Landmark and they do stock the Shiva Prenatal Yoga DVD but none in stock at the moment. I have ordered one. Miffy/HKCC - is it ok to use if you have never done yoga before?
definitely can use it if you've never done yoga. The stretches are gentle and basic and nothing too crazy. Feels great too!
how basic is it? ive done quite a bit of yoga before and wondering if it iwll be too basic - ...now sure how much it is in hmv - but they do have some on amazon.com..
Qwerty - the DVD was $140 at HMV - a little more expensive than the price on the Amazon US website once you add on postage but I thought it would just be easier to get from HMV.

qwerty - I have also done quite a bit of yoga, and whilst it is not difficult, I still enjoy it (and feel really good after it). Don't forget, it's supposed to be gentle for a reason! As I mentioned, there are 3 people in the video, each in different trimester, so you follow the one who is at the same stage as you. I was not 'challenged' by the video in my first trimester but still liked doing it
(and wasn't bored), but funnily enough now I'm in my third trimester it's all become a lot harder!!
