Has anyone in Hong Kong been diagnosed with bilateral hydrosalpinx? If yes, what have you had done to succeed full term pregnancy and had yourself healthy children?

Which specialist did you go to? How many IVFs did it take? Did you get your tubes removed? Who's removed it? Do you feel the same as you did before your tubes were removed? Do you still get any pain?

I have an appointment soon to have my tubes removed...all info on bilateral hydrosalpinx will help...

Please advise,

I know that in western europe IVF treatment is started after removing the hydrosalpinx.

The hydrosalpinx can be a big problem when retrieving the eggs and during early pregnancy.

That's correct Mrs. B. The only way, apparently, is to remove the hydrosalpinx to have a successful IVF. But what I really needed to know if anyone in Hong Kong had the same problem and if they did, which doctor have they gone to to remove the tube(s) that consisted of hydrosalpinx and how long it took before they had a child of their own after IVF.

Anyone with answers, kindly respond.

bilateral hydrosalpinges needs to be either removed or clamped, otherwise abnormal fluids may back track into the uterine cavity, reducing IVF pregnancy rate.

Relatively simple procedure of cutting off the tubes with laparoscope before IVF would be worthwhile.
