Help with BBT

I started charting BBT for the last two months. This month my BBT chart looks like this:


Day 1 96.9

Day 2 97.2

Day 3 97.5

Day 4 96.5

Day 5 97

Day 6 96.7

Day 7 97.1

Day 8 96.9

Day 9 97

Day 10 97.1

Day 11 97.2

Day 12 96.9

Day 13 97.1

Day 14 96.5

Day 15 97.5

Day 16 97

Day 17 97.7

Day 18 97.5

Day 19 97.4

Day 20 97.9

Day 21 97.5

Day 22 98

Day 23 97.9


I used OPK on Day 13 and saw a positive sign. With the fall in temp on day 14, i am pretty sure i got the ovulation right. However, looking at my temps post ovulation, not sure if things look normal. I thot the temp in the high phase should keep at 97.7 or above?


Pls let me know if this chart looks normal or if there seems to be a problem...

How long is your cycle? What time do you do the BBT everyday? is it the same time?


In my opinion, you have not ovulated yet. There is no shift to your chart, there should be "lower and upper". Before ovulation, it should be ALL below 97.7. After ovulation, you can see a big shoot up/jump in your temperature, then it maintains on that level and should not be down again to 97.7.


Mine is usually below 98, if i ovulated, it jumps or gradually move up to 98.6, and maintains that level more or less til your next period.


Continue doing it and you'll see the jump soon. That is if you are ovulating. BBT is a good way of knowing this, mine before just stayed in one level, so i know i was not ovulation properly.

Thanks for your feedback honeypie and linchee. The confusion i face is that i dont get a positive OPK result all the time. I just got a positive on 13 and not on Day 15. So i am a bit worried about whether i have a problem or not. My cycle is normally from 24-30 days.


Last month i saw a distinct pattren as you both say above but somehow this month seems different. Yes i do take BBT at same time (6AM each morning).


Anything i should worry about?
