Medical insurance for women

ORIGINAL POST

I'm considering getting another medical insurance that will cover fertility, pregnancy & delivery related treatments. The general medical insurance offered by my husband's firm barely covers any of them.

Any ideas on which insurance is best for this purpose?

Allianz is one of the only policies to cover ALL maternity costs in Hong Kong.

They covered all my prenatal scans, midwife services, private room delivery at Matilda, etc... well over 100K.

IHI is another good one, although I heard they might have changed their policy a bit

You can talk to Kwiksure (advertise on this site) Neil Raymond or Christian, for a quote. They can also provide you a 'comparison chart' of other policies.

Keep in mind there is a waiting period with all policies - so good you are looking in advance.

Allianz is 10 months for childbirth and complications of childbirth and 18 months for infertility treatments.

Premier Plan

Worldwide, excluding USA and Canada

Do not get the Asia Plan as it has more limited maternity cover.

There is a PDF that describes the benefits with a nice easy to read table:

Good luck!
