i still cant decide should i be going through the VD or c section, time is short and i have only 2 months to go.i will definitely want a 3rd or 4th pregnancy after this second one and would really appreciate if someone can tell me if you has had a c section for at least 3 to 4 times?how has the operation put stress on your body..if you feels physically weaker than before having gone thru 3 times c section.

i find people who has had natural delivery, feels healthier/energetic than those who did the operation.

Hi Ellie -

can't advise you on the C-section thing personally - my friend had two in a row, and has recovered well from both.

But my father is an Ob/GYN, and he has told me that in the LONG run, women who have c-sections over VD have overall better vaginal health "down there" and that he sees fewer complications with incontience and other issues. So - there is a long term plus side to having C-sections. I should tell you - my father is a urogynocologist specialist (helping women who suffer from incontinence later in life) and sees a lot of problems in women who have mulitple births vaginally.

DO THOSE KEGELS!! he always tells me. They are beneficial for women who also go through C-section. I think there is the perception that women feel healthier after VD because the recovery time is much shorter than C-section. Women who have C-section usually have a slower time getitng breast milk and number of timing issues but I don't know if that makes them any less "healthy" than women who have VD.

Have a friend who has had 4 c sections - last one for twins. She has chosen not to have more children for sanity rather than health reasons, so I suppose she has recovered OK.

Generally if OBs are asked we suggest that 3 C-S are enough and offer to do a Tubal Ligation with the third C-S. My own personal most sectioned patient was a lady who for religous reasons could not contracept and I did her 7th and 8th C-Ss. I would not recommend it.

Hi I have had 2 c sections but surgery also for an ectopic pregnancy which is the same procedure. I am booked for my 3rd c section in Feb. The only complaint I have is the little pocket of fat that sits above the scars but might bribe my surgeon for a small tummy tuck once baby delivered in Feb!!!

Going through the same process as well. I am due in 2 months and I had a C-section for the first time. What did you end up chosing? Are you happy with your choice?

i ended up choosing c section, didnt regret a bit for it was virtually painless.i recovered the next day and handle the little pain very well on the first, except i was very hungry and didnt get anything to eat .
