You have to check whether you are can use the public service. The public service is cheaper but there is a waiting list of a few months to a year and you cannot choose the doctor. I think The expenses is about 1/4 to 1/5 the cost of private service.
I went for private service and paid about HK$50,000 to HK$60,000 for my first IVF. I was not pregnant in the first IVF cycle.
I have some frozen embryos, so I sent for FET (frozen embryo transfer) and got pregnant in my first FET cycle. I paid about HK$10,000 to HK$15,000 for it. I have forgotten the exact figure.
I know that not all embries can survive the thawing process in FET, all my embries survived the thawing. The professionism of IVF clinic is highly relevant. I think the embryo lab. in QMH is very good in terms of the result they delivered, e.g. in thawing the embries, ICSI, etc. They have a lot of cases and therefore very experienced.
I am very grateful that I went right straight to QMH.
After watching a lot of programs about IVF in the Home & Health channel of the Discovery Channel of Cable TV and read the experiences shared by those who have gone through IVF in the Message Board of
www.ivf-infertility.com
I understand that the treatment that I have recevied in QMH was among the top is the world.
