when to look for hospital

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and was told that hospital places are filling up fast - even private ones.


Any advice on when to start looking for hospitals? What are the procedures - do you need to call to make an appointment?

It's better that you start looking around now when you're belly is not too heavy and you don't find being on your feet for long periods of time too tiring.

You need to decide first on whether you're going to go public/private.

Then check which hospitals your doctor delivers at (if you're interested in having him/her deliver your baby).

Yes i think you do need to book an appointment - at least for some hospitals like Canossa they want you to book ahead.
