Hiya MM, I've been on three flights already, two of em in my first trimester. I went to Kuala Lumpur, and I just got back from christmas/ny in India. I'm scheduled to travel to KL again in March (just before my 3rd trimester, ugh), and will likely be going to Singapore and elsewhere. in Feb.
As to safe places... I guess my concerns would be the length of the plane ride, the state of the roads at destination, the pollution and accessibility of decent medical care... Phuket is nice and I love KL. Bangkok would be a bit too crowded for my taste. Not too enamoured of Singapore. Indonesia/Vietnam too risky, and I dont see China as the most relaxing place to be...

Just been to a great place in the Phillipines called Badian Island. I am 31 weeks and had 4 days of total rest and relaxation with lots of spa treatments!! Came back feeling totally rejuvenated!

Hi Suze,
Where is Badian Island?
I've been to a holistic, wellness spa at The Farm in Philippines last week, Hk to Manila 1 hour 40 mins. Then car to The Farm for 1 and half hour drive, smooth road, the place is very relaxing, quiet, you get massage everyday, food is great, no meat, all fruits and vegetables. It's quite expensive, but it's worth it as you eat healthy nutritious meal 3x a day, fresh juices unlimited. There are also doctors in the farm. 5 star accommodation, though no TV in your room, no coke ;-( Highly recommended. If you are interested, the website is www.thefarm.com.ph. They have won the Best spa/retreat for 2005 by Spa Asia Crystal Awards (whatever that award is ;-)

Hi all,
To get to Badian Island you have to fly into Cebu and then a 2 hour drive and then 5 min boat trip as is an island. Though seems a long way I think well worth it. Not sure how much it cost as a pressie from my husband think prices are on website though?

Hi All,
Thanks for all the informative replies. I'm also glad to know that people do go on vacations at 30weeks! I am hoping I can go to Greece to attend this ceremony, for my boyfriend's father's death (it's been three years, and they have a big memorial thing at the third year at Greek church) in the beginning of May. It will be my first week of my third trimester, and wondering if I can go at all.
As for a short trip in Feb., I thought about Bali and the island Badian sounds lovely, but I'm sort of inclined to go to Okinawa. I have never been there, and although it won't be hot enough to sun bathe, it will be like spring there, and will be able to see cherry blossoms that I missed this Spring in Tokyo. (Hopefully, the morning sickness will be more tolerable than now by then...)
