Has anyone done this? What is the overall consensus on this? Worth it or not?

I'd like to do it too. I have a leaflet from Dr's office. An UK company called Smartcell has a branch in HK. But I haven't heard of anyone actually doing it. I will consult the doctor about the option when we are near the due...

We used a company called Cryolife based in Hong Kong. http://www.cryolife.com.hk/eng/home.htm

We hope we don't need it, but we thought of it as an insurance.

I thought this was a brilliant idea and definitly worth the investment but I mentioned it in passing to a doctor friend who said he thought it a waste of money because stem cells can be grown from your own blood now and usually if you needed somthing like this it was your body rejecting itself and you would be better off with stem cells from a close relative because they would be similar to your own but not exactly the same and therefore stronger. I will definitely research it more myself when the time comes because it sounded like such a great idea.
