Hiya white rabbit!! I'm 39 weeks on wednesday, but have been getting some practice contractions since saturday. I've been awake since 3pm tonight cause my back is a bit sore and I've been having a few contractions, but I guess these are practice as well! Today is my last day at work, and I really hope I don't go into labour before I've got some rest in after this!!

Last thursday at just past 38 weeks the doc said bubs was 3/5th engaged and it was likely he'd be on time or slightly late, as it is with first babies.

I'm pretty excited, but NOT looking forward to labour. I'm praying for the strength to go through it with the bubs healthy and safe.

Simplythebest is also due now, or was last week I think? STB, how are you doing?

Here's to all of us moms to be - may we all have safe and easy deliveries, with all our reinforcements around us!

Cheers

Hi Vulvic, yes the weeks just fly by. It's these last few days that seem to be going very slowly - mainly because its very uncomfortable, and in the last three days I've started waddling hahahaha.

Anyway, I have stocked up on loads of books, so I hope I have at least 5 days to get over the work stress!

Cheers

I have been getting a few twinges here and there but no sign of any contractions at all.....my bub was also 3/5th engaged at 37 weeks and is apparently laying head down with it's spine in the same position along side mine in OP position (which if he does not turn can apparently cause a really long labour.joy!!!!)will keep you all informed..I have a midwife check up tomorrow night.good luck to all of you... it seems like yesterday that I got a posotive pregnancy test back it has gone so fast.cheers.

NOPE....still nothing which for me is good.... I am due on the 17th and hubby gets back here on the 9th so I hope nothing happens until then.

bub has now turned..which should make labour a bit quicker....not that I know the difference with this being my first but that's what the mid wife's tell me.talk soon.

I'm due on the 7th, but the bubbs will come when he will. I've given him permission to come out and play at any time :D

I've been having sporadic contractions and this morning was awake since 4am with backpains and contractions, but its subsided during the day.

Not long now I don't think...

Hi Well2,

Long time no see!!! I'm still trying like you are. How's everything been so far? Are you seeing a gyno? Send me a message to my mailbox if you'd like to share your experiences coz I'd be more than willing to share mine.

Hi Narnia,

Sorry,I do not know how to send messages to others' mailbox. So i'll reply you here :-P

Well, you know i had a miscarriage in Feb. I started trying again right after that. I don't feel numb or empty anymore. But whenever anybody around me get preg, i just feel abit..odd. Like I still don't wanna attend any gatherings with new-born babies there. I don't know why....

But anyway I am so much more relaxed about TTC now and getting very good with the whole BBT thing (hubby as well haha). It gives us a very clear picture about when (Day22-26) i usually ovulate. So hubby and i try not to be out of sight (you know, business trips etc.) during my fertile period of each cycle. And we don't see BD is a mission. We keep it fun haha

Of course I understand even if you hit the right day, it doesn't mean you will definitely get preg. But chance should be higher than not doing anything. I believe we'll get there :-) Am now on my 2WW (or 10DW- cos my LP is normally 10days). Hope this is the month !!! :-D

How about you? Would like to update your news too :-)

Hi Well2,

It's great to know you're doing so well. I TOTALLY understand what you mean when friends around you have kids or talk about schooling etc. And for me, colleagues and friends are asking when it'll be my turn but of course I haven't told anyone that about my probs. My husband has a friend whose wife is 4 mths preg again with their second one. It just seems soooo easy for some people.

I've changed gyno and am seeing Dr Ho. I haven't started any serious treatment with him yet but will start next cycle. I was taking Metformin for PCOS but he told me to stop it to see what my natural cycle is like. Hubby is going to get some tests done too. My previous gyno suggested IVF if things don't happen soon and that's why I decided to get a 2nd opinion first.

Are you seeing a gyno? If so, who are you seeing?

Hope all goes well for you. Fingers crossed!

Hi Well2 and Narnia,

Nice to "See" you again here, and that you are both coping well with TTC, your time will come soon.

Well2, your LP is quite short, just my opinion, bec. that was my case before too, it should be more than that, the normal is 14, mine was 10 too and sometimes shorter, so we treated that aspect, it goes to 12 which is better and that's when i got preggy. Research on LP i might be wrong.

Hi honeypie, nice to see you again too.

I also noticed that my LP might be too short. So i am now taking vitaminB6 to try to lenghten it a bit. I also take evening primrose oil to increase the quantity of CM. Hope they help :-)

Yes, it might help. If you get pregnant again, please do me a favor, go to your doctor right away and tell him your short LP, don't worry about this, it's easy to cure, they just give you progesterone for support.

honeypie, by the way, how you treated it?

I have a high prolactin, so everytime my LP is short, i know it has something to do with it, so have to check my prolactin and take medication, then it goes back to 12 or 13. I don't know the other reason for some ladies. Have you check your prolactin? usually it's a routine test esp if you are irregular.

That's why it's good to chart your BBT, you can see the pattern. You count LP from the time it shoots up til the day before it goes down.

Oh, if firsttimemom is back, she might think that we have intruded her thread....hehehhe........

Hi Naria, I was seeing Dr Ho. when i was preg. He seems very professional & also a nice guy. Hubby likes him as well. So we won't change gyno when i get preg again

honeypie, i have never showed my charts to Dr Ho. So he doesn't know i have short LP. But i promise you i will tell him next time i see him :-)

oh yr right! hahaha i hope firstimemom doesn't mind..

You should have told him, as it's one of the reasons for MC, pls don't get me wrong that IT IS the reason why it happened, but that was my case before. You researched and see what are the causes. Dr.Ho is good, don't wait til you get preg again, if you visit him, tell him this. Your prolactin might be also high like mine.

Do you know where i can get progesterone cream in Hong kong??? It doesn't do any harm if i use it, does it???

Honeypie, you are right. The longer LP, the better !!!

Well2,

Are you talking about a vaginal progesterone cream? I was getting them from my ex-gyno but they're pretty expensive (about $140each). Are you thinking of using it not in your 2WW?

I'm supposed to be ovulating this week so we'll see how it goes....
