I used the broker referral above and got excellent service. Bank of China, Chong Hing Bank, Standard Chartered are all pretty aggressive in the mortgage market right now so try them first. Go through broker they will make contact with banks to speed things up (no fee to pay broker).

Does anyone know if mreferral.com mentioned above, provides assistance with "pre-approvals"? i.e determining max amount to be borrowed subject to repayment capability etc WITHOUT having chosen a property?

I downloaded their application form, but seems like one needs to be ready to buy, i.e. provide specifics about intended property.
