Hi - does anyone have any contacts at banks that are open to lending on village houses on Lantau. I contacted Dah Sing yesterday, but they wouldn't lend on houses that aren't close to the ferry pier (i.e. in Mui Wo). In addition, they would only offer 50% loan-to-value ratio, off a very low valuation.
Any ideas greatly appreciated. thanks

There are typically four banks that lend in South Lantau. HSBC, Bank of China, Hang Seng and Wing Hang. Good luck!
