we live in Ap Lei Chau/South Horizons and like it alot. It may be frustrating once in awhile when traffic is bad, but overall its a great place if you have kids. The buildings are older, but if you pick one that has been renovated, it should be good. So far its one of the more affordable places with great views. Its far enough from Central which makes you feel like you've left the noise but still close enough to just hop on the cab if you want to get home fast. I'm a stay at home mom, and have made a few friends at the playground when my son plays there. If you want to ask more about South Horizons, you can message me.

SH is on the small island of AP Lei Chau, across from Aberdeen, very close to Repulse Bay, etc. You can easily find it on the map. Its a very family oriented area with lots of kids, playgrounds, and a few preschools embedded within. Our flat is around 940sqft and we got an extremely great deal on rent, $9700. Its usually around 13K for such sizes. There are lots of locals and expats living here. Message me if you have any more questions.

Can you tell me more about Pak Kok, where is that is it an Island? becuase we are looking forward to move somewhere in Lamma but still have to see....can you give me more infos where you living now? is there a broadband connection there?
