Hi, We are moving to Tung Chung and wonder what you get for 8000hk per mnth at either carrabean coast or coastal skyline? would we get 3 bedroom and a carpark?
Please support our advertisers:
Maybe at CC - but don't know how car park allocation works there. At CS you'd be looking at 9-10K - ditto on the car park.

Almost always the car park is separate and would cost between 1000 and 3500 per month depending on many factors (Indoor/outdoor, reserved/open, geographic area).

go to the hongkonghomes website you will find all your info there. We live in Coastal and love it.

In CC you can get a 3 bedroom for $8k not sure about the car park. We pay $9k for a 3 bedroom (1258sq ft). Try local property agent sites like Midland, Centaline etc. the prices they show are better but they don't usually have pictures, try hongkonghomes for that. I can recommend a great property agent out there if you're interested.

Hi J's Aunt, I am actually looking for the smallest unit in Tung Chung. Yesterday, Centaline has showed me a few empty units in CC. They said the lowest rent is $5800 because nowadays demand is more than supply.
To be honest, $5800 is a bit beyond my budget. Do you have any recommendation for me? Thanks in advance.

Tung Chung is supposed to have the worst pollution index in Hong Kong. If you have kids and they do any kind of outdoor activities, I would not recommend living there. Most of my friends who live there have their windows closed permenantly, so, unless you are willing to live like that, better to look at other alternatives.
Also, you might want to think about the cost of travelling out from home and the time spent on travelling.

Here we go again with the pollution in Tung Chung. Pollution is bad everywhere in HK. I have noticed the days when it's bad here, I go to DB it's bad there, I go to Central it's bad, Taikoo it's bad and yes even the south side.
Angelat...I would say supply out weighs the demand since Phase 3 has opened and there are tons of flats available in Block 8, 9, 10. I have a friend that moved here a month ago and he pays $6000 for Flat B. I will send you a pm with the name of a good agent out here.

we were told a car parking space is $6000 per quarter for CC. you lease them directly from cheung kong, so no agents fee.

Hi J's Aunt, I have just viewed CS (block 3) today. I am now considering to rent either a)550 sf (fully furnished with 1 bedroom only) $5500/month; Or b)645 sf (partly furnished with 2 bedrooms) $5800/month.
Do you think tthe above rents are reasonable in CS?
Thanks.

The 2-bedroom unit at $5800/month sounds reasonable. Even if living alone, a spare bedroom will always come in handy.
In Seaview Crescent, the lowest rate for a 2BR unit is $6300.

Tung Chung sounds like it is worth a look. Does the shuttle to the MTR run often (and late)? Does anyone know if the flats come with washer and the usual appliances? Closets?

Most if not all flats come with basic kitchen whites, but there are some units which are partially furnished. But this is an old thread, and prices have skyrocketed in the last couple of months specially in Caribbean Coast.
Best is to come by one weekend, find a property agent to take you around so you can better appreciate the different units.

shuttle bus from Caribbean coast to MTR runs every 4 minutes and goes till 1 am. Very convenient

Went to view apartments last weekend. Wife rejected CC due to dogs being allowed. SC had an apartment in lower floor where the water had dried up in the U bend of the drainage and therefore stank. Isn't that how SARS spread through the Amoy block before? Saw a number of flats in CS. Wanted 3 bedroom and there are a lot available. One of them has never been lived in. Prices varied from HKD10.5K to 14K, all either A, B, C or D. 14K has converted one of the bedrooms into study area. It was interesting but too expensive compared to others available. La Rossa hits the market this weekend where prices are expected to be 12K. Will wait until after weekend and then view more in CS.

I would like to mention that CC has a shuttle bus from CC that takes you directly to Central (35 minutes) and also to TST (35 minutes) from monday to friday peak hours (TST has saturday service). This makes it very convenient for those living in CC who takes office in Central or TST; they dont need to take the MTR.

How much is the current rent ranges in CC,SC,CS,TC for 2BR/3BR?
I learn from the forum that new phase is coming up in CC that could reduce the rental prices, is it?
