Hi there,

Im moving over to HK, in April, im looking for locations and types of property to live in. My office is based in central, so to start off with im looking to live around that area.

Are serviced apartments ok, at least to start with in HK? IM looking into them, as they seem to have a lot included in the one monthly bill?

Is this true, problem is, im giving myself $10,000 to use as rent, is that enough to get a decent place?

Any advise or comments would be great!!!

A decent serviced apartment will cost more than HK$10K/mth for about less than 700sqft, based on my current stay at Manhattan Heights in Kennedy Town. Pls take note of your valuables while staying in a serviced apartment eg. petty theft. I'm moving out soon due to several unfortunate incidents happened.

Dear AP Xpat,

What about $15,000 per month? Do you think I could get a nice place to live in hong kong side?

ED - yes definitely - have a look at serviced apartments in HK, or visit this page for recommendations
