How do I get new tenant

If anyone can pls advise how I go about finding new tenants for my lease. I have broken my lease & moving to a bigger apartment but still have 5 months of lease left on my existing lease. I need to find tenant in order to save $$$. Anyone has any idea how I can go about this? I am starting my new lease on the 13th of Jan so in a bit of a hurry. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it! Cheers!

You should also consider what your lease says regarding “a new licence” under your existing tenancy. Typically the landlord would have put a clause in the lease restricting you from sub-letting or licensing to a third party. You therefore should review your lease very carefully and discuss your intentions with the landlord and get their written consent to any agreement they might make.
