Best Expat area to live in HK?

my husband and i are moving to HK on dec 5 for 2-3 months. i am beginning my search for serviced apartments or hotels and need some advice. could someone please tell me what neighborhood i should look into?

i am 35, asian/american with no kids. my husband is 42, german. we want to live in an Expat area surrounded by cool, laid back, friendly expats who like to have a good time. good time means going out for dinner, drinks, great conversations and dancing. the ideal area would be within 5 minute walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping and public transportation.

if you've ever been to singapore, we used to live in Clarke Quay and loved it cuz we lived only 3 min walk to all the bars/restaurants of Clarke Quay which was along a river, creating a nice and relaxing ambience. we have no problem chatting people up at the bar and we met some really cool expats and locals in singapore.

i hope to find some place similar in hong kong. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THANKS! -ella

You should probably live near Soho then. Look in Soho, Hollywood Road, or lower midlevels areas.
