Hi!

I'm thinking of buying a property in HK and was wondering what the criteriums were re mortgages. Can one apply for a 95% and use a personal loan for the 5% deposit?? I know it can be done where I come from but have no idea if this is as easy in HK.

ALso what are the best banks to apply to? I heard Standard Chartered was very strict..

Thanks for your tips..

Patrick - upon what infrormation are you making your statement about prices going down soon?

Also - doesn't it depend on the price that mbernade gets a property for - there are still some properties that are being sold under value due to vendors just wanting out of having to get out. AND - how long they are intending on staying in HK?

I will seconf burgundies referral to mreferral - excellent service!
