Hi all,

I'm moving to HK pretty soon and looking for a place for $4000 a month close to the MTR, i'll be working in quarry bay. So would want to live at wan chai, central, north point, causeway bay anywhere along the island line.

Looking on the listings there aren't that many rooms going around for this price. Am i within the price range of these places?

Is it hard to find accommodation in these areas?

Where can i get in touch with some agents? that can hlep me further when i get there.

Thanks for any help

Is that US$4,000 per month or HK$4,000 per month. If it's the latter, you will have to at least double that amount for anything decent unless you just want a room.

Perhaps have look at the share flats section http://hongkong.asiaxpat.com/property/

$4,000 in HKD can only get you a room and not a decent flat on HK island. Since you are working in Quarry Bay, how about looking at areas around Quarry Bay and the east end like Heng Fa Chuen, Chai Wan, Sai Wan Ho. There are all MTR accessible and there are new and old housing estates in these areas too.
