I'm thinking about moving to a fully furnished (good furniture + big TV) flat in Park island. The flat is about 650+ sq ft i think. I am being asked HKD8,000 per month for a mimimum 6-mth period... I have to pay all the other bills ( electricity, heat, water, etc..) Would appreciate if anyone could give me an idea if it is a good deal? I have to pay 4,000 towards agent's commission fee. Thanks in advance.

That's about the market rate. I'm paying HKD8400 for 2 bedroom fully furnished, 700 square feet in Park Island too. You could try to ask if you could pay around HKD6800 and also ask for 2 weeks free rent.

$8,000 is about the price there for a fully furnished 6xx sq ft flat, especially plus a big TV. If it is not furnished, I would say around $7,000-$7,800 depending on the floor level and the view.

Agency fee is standard - half of a month's rental or 1% of the purchase price.
