Hi everyone,

I am moving out from NY to HK as an expat and getting a housing subsidy of 30k to 35k HKD (depending on the firm I choose). My primary goal is to live in an area that is fun and easy to meet people of the opposite sex. I am asian but can't speak a word of cantonese. What area would have a large western/overseas asian crowd?

I think you might enjoy the SOHO area. It has abundance of bars and restaurants and has access to Central via the esculator. Its a very trendy area and alot of different woman.

Take a look at www.candelaria.cn if you need corporate housing accomodation

Thank you. I am finally in HK, my agent has shown me places on conduit road. So far, I only like 3 building, bon point, robinson place, and imperial court. After one recommend some building around SOHO or on Kennedy road?

Thanks everyone. I finally found a place to live! It's called Palatial Crest on Seymour road. The rooms are small, but it's new and has a decent view.
