Anybody lived in Ma On Shan able to share insights about what it's like? How far from central? What's transport like? Environment for little kids? Good estates in that area?

Hi vantastic, thanks. I certainly haven't decided on Ma On Shan. Someone had just recommended the area and I hadn't heard of it. I could find much on the net about it. So, now after your description I will no doubt discard the idea.
Those houses in Sai Kung you mentioned are very cheap! I haven't seen any of good quality at those prices on the real estate websites.
