Will redo flooring in a 500 Sqft apartment; checked around in Wan Chai and Teak or Oak for example (Solid) is not that much more.
Any disadvantages i should consider if using solid teak ?.
I guess it can warp a bit etc, and might not wear as well in short run but at least it can be resanded down the line.

Yeah; leaning towards teak (Solid).
Was Quoted approx. 25k HKD for a 500sq ft flat. Excluding the installation/laying....

Dealer (in Wan Chai close to Causeway Bay) said its Burmese teak. Looked nice to me (available in glossy or the more matt one; matt looks nicer to me).
Installation was 8-9k he said; have not discussed further because i wanted to look around. Will check next couple of days and confirm if any extra charges like the plywood...
