dog friendly area

I realise that HK is not really a dog friendly place. Besides, DB and Sai Kung, does anybody know of any area/place that readilty accepts dogs? I have a rott that I wish to bring in to live with me. I can't seem to find an apartment that readily accepts pets in Shatin/Fo Tan area. I am now looking at village houses in the area; that also is not easy. My budget is below 10k. Any advice?

Park Island (Ma Wan) is a Dog Haven. And I think you could get a nice 2 bedroom in the complex for 10K or certainly a 700 sq ft plus roof in the village for probably 6k

Where is Ma Wan? I work in Kowloon Tong. How long does it take from Ma Wan to Kowloon Tong? Many thanks.

Oh Ma wan is just off of tsing yi. I go to Festival Walk all the time for my days off fun. It takes about 1/2 hour to travel (I take Ferry to tsuen wan and then my Car) but you could also take bus and MTR or bus and car. parkisland.com.hk

Caribbean Coast in Tung Chung allows dogs and there are nice paths to take your dog out for a walk. Rent for a 2-bedroom flat ranges from 6-7.5k, 3-bedroom from maybe 8-11k.

Check it out, and ask an agent to show you some units.

Chefcrsh, am checking out Park Island as you suggested. Am told by an agent there that the rental for the village house is 8k with roof. there is no ground floor with garden. Do you know if it is safe to stay in a village house there?

Thanks for the info on Fo Tan. I have checked it out before:apparently, the owners may not agree if the dog is a large one. I am now looking in Tai Po. Any other suggestions??
