A circular building may look striking yet also restricts its versatility especially when there’re number of structured walls inside.

This 2,500 square foot flat is a slice of French joie de vivre at mid-levels showcasing its architecture as well as the owner’s personal style.
Wherever possible, interior walls were used for full height bookcases or closets; most significantly, the closet space increased from 13 to 36 linear feet of storage, without downsizing anywhere in the flat, the bathroom is 40 square foot bigger from original with two sinks and a dresser before a French window.

Hardwood parquet flooring throughout the home anchors rooms, natural light gives them an airy feel with a neutral color scheme of light gray and white, the generous balcony features trompe l’oeil marble mosaic floor with copper monograph inlay.

French details abound in this project, including walls and ceiling crown moldings, ornate decorations on closet doors and a fireplace mantel. Velvet trimmed puddled curtains impart elegance while softening the view.

We also added special touches such as faux antique mirrors to some closet doors, a renaissance cowhide area rug, a hand forged bronze chair, a pair of 30s milk-glass space age wall lamps in the powder room and we painted figure fresco next to our customized dual shield-shaped headboard.
