Hello everyone,writing here just to know if anyone can advise me. I've just moved to HK due to my personal reasons and I don't have strong network here. Currently i'm looking for a job in account management or marketing.I have more than 5 years experience in sales and business development in logistics. I have been working for international companies in Shanghai. Im fluent in mandarin( graduated from Chinese university), English, Russian and learning French now.
I didn't get too many opportunities to meet headhunters recently, just went for few interviews. I'm trying my best to enlarge my connections in HK.
There are plenty of open positions,but when I apply for position which I think I suit perfectly,I still have no reply from the company or HH. I don't understand why...even to know why I'm not suitable for them would be a great information for me.

Yes, I did post my resume on career websites and I applied on the websites...so far, couldn't find any job.

I have the same problem!
I started to think that all the jobs on the career website are faked!
Maybe websites operators only want to get more hits on their sites and more clicks which means higher rating for their websites and more income from the ads they put!

Hello everyone ,im gonna share my experience with you guys ,the jobs that i always want and when i apply its turn i pass interview and they never call back and some jobs i dont take them seriously and i apply then they call me back for more interviews and at the end they accept me and with some how at the end they tell me some rules that i dont like and i just leave them and say no im not interested .
There is nothing wrong with us ,even if we have experience ,hkid or what every all the conditions ,this companies they hire some HR hiring manager whos gonna pick on you with very little issues as they call them ,try to dont be the bait .
The keys to let some company accept you is :
*show them you are so confidance about your personality and your knowledge.
*make sure to visit the company website and take some deep reading and check whos the important ppl in that company and if you have knowledge in basic analysis then try to check deep info about whos gonna interview you ( i love internet ,there is no privacy lol ).
*sometimes i do apply for some companies that i have 60% of the skills and i had to lie about the other skills that i dont have (you got to do some research incase they ask you to give examples so you can show them that you are ready even if you are not ready {i did used this one for many companies in the past when i didnt have much skills as now and its works pretty well for me } ) .
*give them an important note to whos gonna interview you and let them know you are a valuable person whos gonna bring big benifits to his company (play your cards well ,here comes why you need to check the company name and website to help you woth your interview .)
*as my knowledge with the Human Resources they want someone eco friendly ,hard working and atractive (atractive not how you look ,its about how your personality gonna take them away with your knowledge "give them an example about something happend in your previous company and how was your rule and how did you fit alone and with the team and what was the rewards " )if you do that then you are 80%on the way to get the job .
*give them an example that you did a mistake and you did learn from it because (HR love drama trust me ) .
*one thing ,in the past i was always afraid when i go to an interview ,but you got to take that thing off and focus on his eyes makd them feel that you are READY AND CAN DO IT .

I just chare some of my experience and knowledge with HR for me its works fine and even when i apply and reject their salary offer they call me back to arrange for ther meeting.(the trick about the salary negotiations ,if you have average skills then you got to pick up average salary , and make rules and ask for comitions if your skills can bring the company more profits and you are confident about your self ) .
The main point is focus ,search the company what they do and woth who ,seatch and boost your knowledge in the some points that you dont have skills on them ,dress well or wear suit and iron it before you go because that will show them you are adapted person and be on time or 15mins earlier and if your luck go wrong and you stuck on trafic call them and let them know that you will be late 15mins or 20mins because HR they understand the trafic .
