Hi folks,
I would like to get some advice from anyone who can help.
I worked in health care IT and operations in the US and recently moved to Hong Kong. I'm finishing up a masters degree in medical informatics and am wondering what are my options to dive into the health care industry here? I'm particularly interested in gaining some experience in a hospital setting. I had worked for a EMR vendor and later for an outpatient practice. My spoken Cantonese is conversational but I can't read Chinese.
Thanks!

Hi wennme, I am a HK Chinese. I 'm not quite familar with your background, and do u have a working or living visa in HK??
About the health care industry, there are so many public and private hospitals established in HK for years, and there are more and more doctors open clinics by themselves, and a big organization is now growing for opening a series of clinic chains.
On the other hand, the beauty industry has been growing in HK for over 10 years, from keep fit by using technologies, using natural methods (herbal, exercise), to laser hair removal, facial treatment, spy... the industry is still growing, perhaps you can have a look to the job advertisement for this industry.
another website the jobsdb Dot com is one of the famous recruiting website in HK, I 'm not making promotion for this website, just want to make a help to foreigner in HK.
Hope I can help you.

u can check the website, by selecting the health care/ beauty catergory, for finding jobs.
But i'm not quite confident about your situation, since i'm not familiar with the subject (health care IT and operations)you studied. Perhaps you should find some career agents for you. ;)
